A grid connection application defines how a generating plant or storage system connects to the distribution network. We collect supply and installation data, identify the required import and export capacities, and prepare the technical documentation for the application.
We analyse the network operator’s proposed solution and incorporate its conditions into the design. We define the connection point, energy metering, interface equipment and protection systems; for Medium Voltage configurations, we coordinate these aspects with substations, transformers and the internal distribution network.
We support the agreed additional submissions and technical procedures through to activation, collecting the necessary information and documents from installers. The client has a point of contact to coordinate the design, construction work and network operator’s requirements; processing and activation times also depend on the parties involved.
