01Photovoltaic funding applications
We help clients assess whether a photovoltaic project is technically compatible with a funding scheme and prepare the required project documents. We review the selected call, the applicant and site characteristics, and the system requirements to identify the data and documents to collect.
We develop or coordinate the design supporting the application: power ratings, module layouts, energy yield, electrical diagrams and a description of the works. We organise technical information and, where requested and included in the agreed scope, bills of quantities and support for supplementary submissions or project reporting.
We clarify the scope of our support and the activities to coordinate with the client and other advisers from the outset. Eligibility and funding depend on the scheme and the awarding body’s assessment. Our role is to make the project clear and the technical documentation consistent with the application.

02Grid-connection applications
A grid-connection application establishes how a generation or storage system connects to the distribution network. We collect supply and system data, identify the required import and export power, and prepare the technical documentation for the application.
We assess the solution proposed by the network operator and incorporate its requirements into the design. We define the connection point, energy metering, interface devices and protection systems. For medium-voltage configurations, we coordinate these aspects with substations, transformers and internal distribution.
We support agreed technical submissions and requirements through to activation, gathering the necessary data and documents from installers. The client has a technical point of contact to coordinate the design, works and operator requests. Processing and activation times also depend on the parties involved.

03Technical coordination
Technical coordination keeps design decisions consistent with the client’s needs, the works to be carried out and the required procedures. We facilitate discussions between the client, installers, other designers, the network operator and relevant bodies, identifying the information needed and the decisions to share.
We check the interfaces between electrical systems, structures and other equipment: space for switchboards and equipment, cable routes, power supplies, measurements and controls. We assess proposed changes and supplied equipment against the design, updating documents within the agreed scope.
This service helps prevent inconsistencies and resolve technical questions as the project develops. We organise the documents and feedback needed for subsequent stages, clarifying operational responsibilities, connections and commissioning requirements.
