Medium and Low Voltage electrical design, from substations and main distribution to individual loads.
Medium Voltage and MV/LV substations
We develop the electrical architecture of Medium Voltage connections and MV/LV substations, specifying transformer capacity, switching and protection equipment, metering and the interface with the internal Low Voltage network. We coordinate the network operator’s requirements with loads and any generating or storage systems, preparing the diagrams and technical documents included in the assignment.
Sizing
We analyse loads and required power, assessing diversity of use, installation methods and operating conditions. We size circuits, cables, containment and switchboards, checking current-carrying capacity, voltage drop and short-circuit withstand.
We specify protection against overloads, short circuits and indirect contact, checking coordination with conductors and the earthing system. We also assess selectivity between protective devices and circuit subdivision to support safety, continuity of service and future expansion.
Documentation
We prepare technical reports, single-line diagrams and, where needed, multi-line diagrams, together with floor plans showing outlets and cable containment routes. We complete the design with circuit schedules, sizing calculations and protection coordination checks.
We define component specifications, circuit identification and installation requirements; depending on the assignment, we also develop switchboard layouts, specifications and bills of quantities. These documents give installers and clients a clear reference for construction, inspection, maintenance and future updates.
