Photovoltaics: from site analysis to electrical configuration
A photovoltaic installation converts solar energy into electricity: modules generate direct current, which inverters convert into alternating current to supply loads and exchange energy with the grid. Our service starts with an analysis of consumption, available space, orientation, tilt and shading. We estimate energy yield and compare configurations to select a capacity that matches demand and the client’s objectives.
We determine the number and layout of modules, select inverters and configure strings, the groups of modules connected in series. We check voltages and currents under the expected operating conditions, compatibility with inverter inputs and the relationship between module capacity and conversion capacity. We size cables, switchboards, isolation and protection on the DC and AC sides, assessing voltage drop, earthing and surge protection.
BESS: energy storage and management
BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) store energy in batteries and make it available later. We analyse consumption profiles to define storage capacity, expressed in kWh, separately from charge and discharge power, expressed in kW.
We design the integration of batteries, inverters or PCS power conversion systems, switchboards, metering and energy control. We define connections, protection, operating logic and installation requirements. For Medium Voltage connections, we also develop the MV/LV substation architecture, transformer sizing and grid interface. Clients receive reports, electrical diagrams, floor plans and calculations, together with technical support for the procedures included in the assignment.
